1) Q. What is the turn-around time to ship a Shoji
Door TV stand?
Answer:
Approximately 10-12 business days, 4 to 6 days for prebuilt
redi - made products that just need finish applied.
2) Q. My plasma TV weighs more than a LCD, will the
wood stand hold it ?
Answer:
Yes, the stand will hold 200 lbs.
3) Q. How hard is assembly, I do not have a lot of
tools?
Answer:
You or a friend will need a drill (I supply the square
drive bit)and a crescent (adjustable) wrench. That's all,
no hole drilling. Descriptive Instructions included with
photos. The TV stand is completely assembled by Tim O'Brien
to verify pieces fit together.
4) Q. What type of finish is used on the solid wood
products?
Answer:
I apply one coat oil based stain (your color choice of
minwax or varathane brand) and one coat satin tung oil
varnish (two coats on top surface). This is as durable as
polyurethane.
You can see a small color sample on wood, of all
minwax and varathane stains, at most lowes, home depot,
menards, ace hardware, and tru value stores.
5) Q. How are these heavy, solid wood items shipped
?
Answer:
Item is packed in pink styrene ridgid insulation and then
wrapped tightly in cardboard. This has proven to be
effective for Fedex Ground and UPS. Please specify if you
need signature required with your delivery, otherwise item
will be left at your door.
